· Collects, date stamps, records data, logs, copies, distributes, files, mails.
· May schedule appointments and referrals.
· Operates office equipment (typewriter, copier, fax, and computer for data input, patients medical records reports and billing claims) and word processing.
· Opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail.
· Files patient medical charts.
· Answers telephone, takes messages, answers inquiries, refers to appropriate staff member, as necessary.
· Assist in monitoring and follow up to insure report compliance for both medical reports and billing claims.
· Handles requests for copies for patient medical charts as requested by insurance carriers, attorneys, etc.
· Adheres to the ACCESS personnel and procedural policies.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required or Equivalent (GED)
- One year of general clerical experience or completion of specific training in an approved business school or at least one year of university course work or equivalent is preferred
