Position Summary: 
The Clinical Educator provides education to patients, family and staff, within an ambulatory care setting, to achieve organizational goals and optimal patient outcomes, by promoting healthy behavior and involving the staff, patient and, as appropriate, the family in the process.
Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assess organization wide patient and family education programs and activities;
• Assures that standards of care for Education of staff, patients and families are being practiced according to JCAHO and regulatory agencies.
• Provision of continuing education to ancillary Staff to ensure availability of current information regarding clinical skills needed for quality patient care (competency). Assures preparation and presentation of continuing education for all ancillary staff including, but not limited to: CPR, triage, Meditech, and OSH standards.
• Assist in orientation; development and presentation of core competencies to insure delivery of quality patient care, effective and efficient clinical operations

Requirements: 

BSN Nursing required, Masters preferred
R.N. Licensure
Education experience in adult learning setting
Ambulatory/Community Health Experience
Educator Experience in Community Health Setting
Demonstrated excellence in curriculum, development and presentation
Demonstrated excellent teaching ability in classroom management
Excellent written and oral communications
CPR Instructor Experience
