· Research identified needs and write grant applications, including budget creation
· Meet with appropriate staff to identify and plan potential programs based on specific grants’ guidelines.
· Identify government funding opportunities and assess, in conjunction with the Planning and Development Team, their appropriateness to the organization’s current strategic goals.
· Identify, plan and coordinate with external partners, as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments as appropriate.
· Execute and monitor government contracts and subcontracts upon award.
· Orient grant managers, ACCESS sites and external partners to awarded grant’s reporting and financial requirements.
· Assist other members of the Planning and Development team as needed
· Troubleshoot problem areas and suggest solutions for successful implementation of programs.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, in public health, health administration or related field.
· 1 year experience in development, fundraising, or health/social administration.
· Ability to demonstrate experience in planning, writing and coordinating grant applications.
· Ability to demonstrate experience in program management, relationship management and budget management
· Proficiency or willingness to become proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Donor Perfect software
· Experience, interest and commitment to health care for underserved groups.
