• Increase awareness of Healthy Start and other ACCESS services as needed at community social functions, schools, churches and other appropriate businesses and community-related organizations.
• Assist the Healthy Start team to identify potential expectant fathers to become involved with services.
• Plan, develop and implement male involvement support groups at various Healthy Start sites.
• Provide call back, home visits and other follow-up services to facilitate male involvement.
• Provide career opportunity and resource needs for male clients.
• Network and establish sound relationships with perspective employers pertaining to resources for employment.
• Be a member of the Healthy Start team and serve as a resource to case managers and other Healthy Start staff.
• Maintain appropriate records and submit monthly reports.
• Convey respect and trust toward potential clients to promote individual responsive services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two (2) to five (5) years community outreach or demonstrated work experience with the community and community groups
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience of three to five years in a health care community environment
• Experience with providing oral presentations to community or civic groups.
