· Coordinate the development of clinical guidelines and solicits active cooperative participation from the provider staff.
· Provide administrative leadership, business analysis and planning for Service Lines and Clinical Programs; Provider direct supervision to Service Line Administrators/Directors/Managers; Provide strategic leadership for integration of Services Lines with one another.
· Identify new Access Service Lines to expand options for delivery of care within the network and create ROI for evaluation of expanded services.
· Provide financial leadership and oversight for Medical Department budgets; develop corrective actions for negative variances.
· Develop long-term recruitment strategies for new providers.
· Oversee provider scheduling process; assure that provider staffing model meets organization’s strategic goals.
· Work with CMO and Deputy Medical Directors in developing and implementing strategy for acquiring new practices.
· Administer provider communications system including regional meetings, all-provider meetings, etc. to involve provider staff in achieving organizational goals.
· Assist clinic operations leadership in Health Center coordination of work affecting clinic staff.
· Assist CMO and Deputy Medical Directors in developing and implementing a continuum of care for the organization.
· Manage the physician compensation program, to assure accuracy, provider compliance, and timely payment as well as reassess program on a regular basis.
· Coordinates the development of clinical and administrative policies and procedures; develops methods for tracking and assessment.
· Provide leadership to the Medical Department for Human Resource Issues; Lead, coach, and develop assigned staff. Work with medical administration to ensure that Access Human Resource Policies and Procedures are followed.
· Serve as a liaison between the Medical Department and Department of Information Systems and Quality to coordinate provider quality, peer review, credentialing and managed care data.
- Bachelors degree required
- 10+ years of work experience in healthcare with at least 5 years at the director level
- Experience leading the medical/administrative functions of a multi-site JCAHO approved health care organization
