Position Summary: 
Works in collaboration with Lead Provider and oversees the short and long-term operations of a health center. Leads the health center staff in providing high-quality health care to the surrounding community, in line with the organization’s mission. Ensures that the health center meets patient needs and succeeds financially.
Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Continually reinforces the organization’s overall mission to the health center staff, communicating in words and in actions.
• Assess community needs by building relationships with community members and works in conjunction with the managing department.
• Leads health center’s strategic planning process. Develops a business plan, re-designs
• Processes, and plans for growth and improvement.
• Ensures the health center’s day-to-day operations are carried out.
• Takes accountability for the health center budget, patient encounters, quality of patient care, staff retention and job satisfaction, patient satisfaction, and the overall financial health of the health center.
• Manages implementation of grants and associated deliverables.
• Manages health center staff including performance management, staffing terminations, and development.
• Monitors and is accountable for Health Center Metrics.
• Investigates and addresses staff / patient Compliance/Issues.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, IDPH, JACHO and other regulatory agency standards.
• Overall fiscal responsibility for the Health Center business unit in conjunction with the Regional Manager / Provider.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

College degree required.
Strong ability to lead other, getting buy-in, and commanding respect. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong humanistic orientation, valuing patients, employees and the organization’s mission. Strong people/interpersonal skills, problem solving/decision making skills and ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data or information. High degree of flexibility/adaptability; willing to learn, change, and be coached, entrepreneurial spirit. Basic business savvy. Planning and organizing skills.
Bachelors or advanced degree in healthcare, human services or business preferred and/or relevant experience, 2-3+ years managerial experience. 2-3+ yrs in a health center of community healthcare setting. Experience working with business and financial data and managing a profit and loss unit.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish (orally and written) a plus.
